HENRY WISMAYER is a freelance writer based in London. His essays, features and commentary have appeared in over 80 publications, including the New York Times, New York Times Magazine, National Geographic, Washington Post, Financial Times, Smithsonian Magazine, Noema, The Atlantic, TIME Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Aeon, Outside, Vice, Vox, and BBC World.
